The areas with more prolonged drought are forecast to expand, these include Texas, New Mexico, the Four Corners, and the southern Rockies along with much of the northern Rockies and Plains in Montana and Wyoming. Oregon, Washington, and Idaho are forecast to see some areas develop further into drought as the summer progresses.”
