“DTC shipments from Napa County wineries totaled $1.8 billion on a volume of 1,592,477 9L cases in the 12 months ended April. Value was down 7% versus a year ago and volume was down 13%, with no price tier and few varietals exempt from the declines. Napa wineries nevertheless retained their dominant share of the DTC channel at 47% of value, and within these shipments, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet-driven red blends dominate, claiming 68% of value and 45% of volume. Cabernet alone holds 51% of shipment value at $914.2 million.”
