Today’s Most Interesting Wine Industry Data
“Revenue decline isn’t across the board: wholesale heavy wineries fares worse than DTC-focused brands. We saw gross profit margin deteriorate throughout 2024…we expect this trend to continue at FYE 2024 and throughout 2025. While difficult to acknowledge, the grower community is in the most difficult spot in this market. It will be years before balance will be found with demand. During this period, the price paid by producers will drop. With sales falling for wine, this is an opportunity for producers to reset their grape pricing to protect their own gross profit margin.”
