“Total winery direct-to-consumer (DTC) shipment value slipped 3% versus a year ago to $378 million in April, WineBusiness Analytics/Sovos ShipCompliant reported, while volume fell 10% to 541,769 cases. Resilient wine club shipments in April as well as the spring holidays, including Easter and Passover, kept the declines in check. Shipments in April averaged $58.15 per bottle, up 8% versus last year and the highest ever reported for the month.”
