Today’s Most Interesting Wine Industry Data
“Total winery direct-to-consumer shipment volume in November declined 12% compared to last year to 747,509 cases while value slipped 7% to $551 million, according to data by WineBusiness Analytics and SovosShipCompliant. The declines followed a lackluster October, disappointing hopes that holiday shipments might ease the pain many wineries have experienced in the past year. Shipment value for the latest 12 months was down 6% versus a year ago, while channel volume was down nearly 10%.”
