“In the Southern Hemisphere, where the wine harvest concludes during the first half of the year, preliminary estimates for 2025 point to a slight recovery in production. After three consecutive years of declining, total output is expected to rise to around 49 mhl, a 7% increase compared with 2024, though still about 5% below the five-year average. This reflects the impact of adverse climatic events, notably heatwaves, drought, and irregular rainfall patterns that affected several major producing areas.”
