“Lack of staff (50%) and lack of time (46%) are by far the most commonly cited barriers to offering wine tourism services. Around one in five wineries mention low profitability (21%), lack of customer demand (22%), or misalignment with brand philosophy (18%) as reasons for not engaging in wine tourism. General disinterest (11%) and competitive pressure (5%) are less frequently mentioned, suggesting external market factors play a minor role.”
