Today’s Most Interesting Wine Industry Data
“One constant in recent years has been the steady decline of wine sales priced less than $11 in grocery stores as tracked by NIQ (formerly Nielsen). Such wines have been vital to the largest wine producers and in 2024 they declined a further 6% to less than 40 million cases. Sales of higher priced wines, particularly in the on-premise and DTC market, did help increase total market value in 2024, but inflation and price increases also contributed.”
