Today’s Most Interesting Wine Industry Data

“The Winery Job Index declined 23% versus a year ago in September to 298, which is a new record low for the year as winery recruiting moderates due to seasonal needs and in step with the U.S. economy. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. job market added an estimated 254,000 jobs in September exceeding expectations and the number of jobs added in August. The recent jobs data could indicate a stabilization of the wider job market as well as an economic “soft landing” in step with cooling inflation.”
