40% of smaller, premium wineries producing between 1k and 5k cases are expecting growth of more than 10%. 34% of wineries with an average price of more than $50 have similar expectations. Optimism can be attributed to the ongoing recovery of the on-premise sector. Rather than having to shift product back into the direct sales channel or retail, wineries are able to rely on fully reopened restaurants. They are no longer burdened by inventory that went unsold during the pandemic.
