May 22, 2012, Healdsburg, California — Mendocino County ultra-premium Pinot Noir producer Masút Vineyard and Winery has engaged the wine sales and marketing consulting firm, Tincknell & Tincknell, to assist with their national and direct sales. Located in Redwood Valley, Masút Vineyard and Winery plans to grow from their current annual production of 1,500 cases to 5,000 cases over the next 5-6 years. Tincknell & Tincknell will assist the winery by helping them to expand existing markets, open new markets, and further develop direct marketing and sales.

Masút Vineyard and Winery is owned by Jacob and Ben Fetzer, sons of Bobby and Sheila Fetzer, and grandsons of Bernard and Kathleen Fetzer, the founders of the Fetzer Winery. They are the third generation of the famed Fetzer Family dynasty, continuing a winemaking tradition that stretches back to 1968.

The 1,500-acre Masút Ranch is located on the eastern side of the Redwood Valley AVA, on the slopes and crest of one of the valley’s ridges. The uniqueness of the ridge soil, microclimate, and location combine to make the vineyard site an excellent region for growing Pinot Noir. The distinctiveness of the vineyard region from the rest of Redwood Valley have spurred an effort to create a new AVA, Eagle Peak, Mendocino County, currently pending review and comment by the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.

Masút Vineyard and Winery have just released their second vintage, the Masút 2010 Pinot Noir, Mendocino County, that sells for $40 retail. The wine is available direct from the winery in California, and retails through their website at www.masut.com. Nationally, the wine is currently distributed in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, District of Columbia, Delaware, Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Tincknell & Tincknell were established in 1997. Currently celebrating their 15th year, the firm provides assistance to import and domestic wineries and wine industry businesses in marketing, sales, internet marketing and sales, traditional and alternative packaging design, and start-up and business strategies.

Tincknell & Tincknell (www.marketingwine.com) are based in Healdsburg, California. The firm consists primarily of the husband and wife team, Paul and Jennifer Tincknell, and has worked with such companies as Louis M. Martini, Black Box Wines, New Zealand importer Via Pacifica Imports, Scholle Corporation, House Band Wines, Israeli winery Makura of Amphorae Wines, and the Chinese winery Qingdao Fushiwang Putaojiu Company.
