Line 39 Wines Launches Restaurant Promo to Find the Best Pairing for its Sauvignon Blanc

LINE 39 WINES LAUNCHES “LINE BY-THE-GLASS,” A NATIONAL RESTAURANT PROMOTION TO FIND THE BEST PAIRING FOR ITS SAUVIGNON BLANC

Sonoma, CA – April 19, 2012 – Cecchetti Wine Company’s Line 39 Wines has launched a nationwide wine by-the-glass promotion with restaurants to find the best pairing for its Lake County Sauvignon Blanc.

Running through June 29, 2012, Line 39 is challenging restaurant chefs and sommeliers to create their best Sauvignon Blanc food pairings and submit pictures to the winery at line39wine@gmail.com. These photos will be posted on Line 39’s Facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/Line39Wines so that food and wine lovers can vote on their favorite pairings. Cecchetti Wine Company will reward the winning restaurant’s Line 39 Sauvignon Blanc pairing by hosting their 5th anniversary dinner celebration at their establishment later this year.

“Sauvignon Blanc is such a versatile wine with bright, crisp flavors that are refreshing during the warm spring and summer months,” says Roy Cecchetti, co-founder and CEO of Cecchetti Wine Company. “It also makes an ideal pairing option for a wide variety of dishes, so we can’t wait to see what chefs and sommeliers create for our Sauvignon Blanc.”

Line 39 Sauvignon Blanc (SRP: $10) is sourced from vineyards in the emerging Lake County AVA. Home to California’s largest natural lake, Lake County provides an ideal cool climate and terroir for balanced, varietally correct Sauvignon Blanc. The 2010 Line 39 Sauvignon Blanc opens with vibrant aromas of grapefruit and lemon citrus, with subtle grassy characters. On the palate, this wine does not disappoint with refreshing flavors of grapefruit, lime and lemon, balanced by bright, crisp acidity on the finish. Normally we would provide pairing suggestions here, but we’ll save that for the participants.
