Napa, Calif. (March 26, 2012) — MacPhail Family Wines are now available from wholesalers in a dozen states, including the newly opened New York, Florida, Minnesota and Massachusetts.
Soon to be added are North Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Connecticut.
New distributor appointments for the Pinot Noir specialist include:
New York — Empire Merchants;
Florida — Premier Beverage;
Minnesota — Phillips Wine & Spirits; and,
Massachusetts — Martignetti Companies.
While MacPhail has a significant Direct-To-Consumer following, the wines are also popular with on-premise and fine wine shops. MacPhail is now represented by distributors in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Utah.
James MacPhail founded MacPhail Family Wines in 2002, choosing his childhood Radio Flyer wagon for the winery logo. “It symbolizes fun and family,” says James, “and it represents timeless design and high quality.” MacPhail focuses on vineyard designated Pinot Noir, principally from Mendocino’s Anderson Valley and the Sonoma Coast. In 2011, MacPhail Family Wines joined The Hess Collection, where winemaker James MacPhail also leads Sequana Vineyards.
