Consumer Wine Awards to Thirty Bronco Wines
(CERES, Calif.) – Led by a Platinum Award to Motos Liberty 2009 Pinot Grigio as Best of Class, Bronco Wine Company won a half dozen Gold Awards and two dozen Silver and Bronze at the Consumer Wine Awards in Lodi, California with the winners announced this week. The Gold Awards were to Napa Ridge 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Forest Glen 2009 Merlot and Forest Glen 2009 Tehachapi Clone Pinot Grigio, Domaine Laurier 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve and Harlow Ridge 2009 Lodi Pinot Grigio.
“We know that we’re pleasing the consumer with our wines but it’s always nice to get recognition,” Bronco CEO Fred Franzia said today. “Note that many of our winners are in the growing Pinot Grigio varietal segment – we’re in touch with what consumers want in terms of quality and value.”
The Consumer Wine Awards, a competition which matches over a hundred evaluated consumer judges with wines that fit their palatal preferences, are directed by Aaron Kidder, “Pooch” Puchilowski and Tim Hanni, M.W. Over 700 wines were entered.
