Napa, Calif. — Tamara Kolbert has been selected to lead the Wine Clubs and Direct To Consumer efforts for The Hess Collection, which includes wine clubs featuring selections from
The Hess Collection, Artezin and Sequana Vineyards.
Kolbert earlier served in similar positions for wineries in Napa and Sonoma.
She is a native of Napa, and learned about winery operations early on as her family imported French oak barrels, and she frequently met vintners as they selected barrels from the warehouse.
Kolbert is completing a series of wine certification classes at Napa Valley College, and has completed several professional development courses in the WISE Academy program.
She is managing The Hess Collection wine club, which includes limited release Small Block series wines produced by Hess and Artezin winemakers exclusively for the clubs upon release, and Sequana Selections, a wine club for Pinot Noir specialist Sequana. Hess also offers wines from the portfolio directly to consumers in special programs for those who sign up at the popular Hess Visitor Center on Mount Veeder.
The Hess Family Estates portfolio includes The Hess Collection from Napa, specializing in Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from Mount Veeder; Artezin, specializing in Zinfandel and heirloom varietals from the North Coast; Sequana Vineyards, offering Pinot Noir from Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley and the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterey; along with Glen Carlou from Paarl, South Africa; Peter Lehmann of the Barossa, Australia; and high altitude vineyard specialists Colomé and Amalaya from Argentina. Hess Family Estates also imports and markets Brancaia from Tuscany.
