The Hess Collection Appoints Jim Caudill Director Public Relations & Hospitality

Napa, Calif. — Jim Caudill has been appointed Director of Public Relations & Hospitality for The Hess Collection winery in Napa, overseeing the Hess visitor center, wine club, e-commerce and public relations for several Hess Family wineries, including The Hess Collection, Artezin, Sequana, Amalaya, Colomé, Glen Carlou and Peter Lehmann.

Caudill previously served as Vice President, Public Relations for Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates, and as the California-based public relations manager for Brown-Forman wine brands including Sonoma-Cutrer, Bonterra and Sanctuary.

Earlier in his career he consulted with public relations agencies such as Ketchum Communications,

Carl Byoir & Associates and Kamer/Singer, and also served as Vice President Public Relations for Amfac Hotels & Resorts.

Most recently he served as a marketing communications consultant in his own firm for a diverse roster of clients in wine, art and travel.

Caudill is a former board member of the Sonoma County Vintners, and is an accredited Fellow of the Public Relations Society of America. He is a past President of the Public Relations Round Table and the San Francisco chapter of PRSA. He served as an adjunct instructor at Golden Gate University in the MBA concentration for public relations, and earned an MA from Western Michigan University in organizational communications. He has served as a wine competition judge for the San Francisco Chronicle, Grand Harvest, West Coast and Green Wine competitions, and is a member of the Wine Century Club.
