DUCKHORN WINE COMPANY NAMES NEW VICE PRESIDENT

OF MARKETING AND DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL ACCOUNTS

NAPA VALLEY, Calif. – June 10, 2010 – Duckhorn Wine Company is pleased to announce two key appointments to its executive team. Carol Reber has been named vice president of marketing, and Dale Bishop has been appointed director of national accounts. Reber will be responsible for overseeing Duckhorn Wine Company’s marketing and strategic planning programs, corporate brand communications, direct to consumer sales channels, as well as the company’s acclaimed hospitality programs for its three winery estates. As director of national accounts, Bishop will manage corporate accounts sales for all Duckhorn Wine Company brands, including Duckhorn Vineyards, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration, and the recently expanded Decoy brand.

Reber is a marketing, strategy, and sales expert who began her career at Ernest & Julio Gallo, and honed her skills at such respected companies as Pricewaterhouse Coopers and The Walt Disney Company. Between 2001 and 2005, Reber was at Foster’s Wine Estates Americas, where she was promoted from director of corporate planning to group brand manager for Sonoma luxury brands. Directly prior to joining Duckhorn Wine Company, Reber was a partner and the vice president of marketing for 585 Wine Partners, where she launched and managed a portfolio encompassing 14 brands. Over a four-year period with 585 Wine Partners, Reber developed and executed strategic marketing plans for all brands, achieving overall volume growth of 165 percent and revenue growth of 195 percent.

Bishop brings almost two decades of expertise to his role as director of national accounts. He began his career with Hyatt Hotels, and later with Westin Hotels and Pacific Wine & Spirits, where he was the key accounts manager for national accounts. In 1999, he joined Robert Mondavi, where he was ultimately promoted to vice president of sales for global corporate accounts. After the purchase of Mondavi by Constellation Wines U.S. in 2004, Bishop became Constellation’s vice president of sales for on-premise national accounts. Most recently, Bishop was the director of on-premise sales for Red Bull North America, where he managed an annual volume of 1.65 million cases and a team of 27 people, achieving per-case profit growth of 10 percent, and expanded points of distribution by 14 percent.

“Carol and Dale are both talented, forward-thinking individuals, who bring a wealth of experience and insight to our team,” says Alex Ryan, the president of Duckhorn Wine Company. “Just as important, they understand and are committed to the core values of quality and innovation that have shaped our reputation and defined our company for over 30 years.”

Reber was hired after a successful executive search by the Cypress Group, and Dale Bishop was placed by Human Resource Business Partners.
