Sonoma, California | January 16, 2019: WINE WOMEN, a nonprofit professional trade organization focused on advancing women’s careers in the wine industry by fostering and nurturing talent, providing networking and training opportunities, and advocating for better opportunities for women in this industry, will launch its Wine Club Forum on Wednesday, January 23rd at Nakedwines.com in Napa at 6:00 p.m. The meeting is open to women and men whose positions involve working on wine clubs, from Tasting Room Managers to Wine Club Directors and Managers, newbies to veterans.
ABOUT THE MEETING
Attendees will have an opportunity to network with other professionals in the wine industry and explore ways in which they can expand their collective wine club knowledge and leverage their relationships to enhance their careers. At this first meeting, attendees will discuss why a focused networking group can be the stepping stone to something greater and/or more fulfilling for their career. They will also explore which wine club topics are of greatest importance to them and their colleagues as well as determine the parameters for future meetings. Topics for consideration include:
* Design - How do you make your program stand out from the rest?
* Retention – how are other wineries increasing retention of members?
* Maximizing Sales – What additional opportunities can be leveraged within the club community?
* Are you leaving money on the table?
Forum Chair Theresa Dorr is a leader in revolutionizing direct-to-consumer sales in the wine, hospitality, and specialty food industries. She was a pioneer as the first woman to bring technology to the wine industry with a SaaS CRM solution, and led the shift in wine clubs from being a source of pain with limited gain to high-growth recurring revenue opportunities. She works with wineries and wine stores to develop business plans, marketing programs, and direct-to-consumer sales, and continues her work to bring new applications to the wine industry. With her expertise in club programs she is recognized as the “Queen of Clubs.” "Even with 20 years of studying clubs, I still learn, and this is an opportunity for all of us to share what we’ve learned amongst ourselves. My goal is to have everyone be their own queen or king of clubs, so they know they’re running the most profitable, productive club for their business,” explained Dorr.
The meeting is open to current members of WINE WOMEN, as well as prospective members. Advance registration is required. Details and registration: Wine Club Forum Launch.
