Well-Known Industry Veteran, Paul Mabray, Continues to Support Wine Bloggers

Napa, Calif. – July 10, 2017 — Today, Averro Buzz, a hospitality platform for social media and reputation management, announced it will become a sponsor of the ninth annual Wine Bloggers Conference Scholarship. Averro Buzz, formerly known as VinTank, was acquired by Averro, the trusted technology partner for the hospitality industry.

“Bloggers and alternative media ars are such an important audience for the hospitality industry, and the Wine Blogger’s Conference Scholarship has a strong track record for fostering great talent that may not financially be able to attend the conference,” said Paul Mabray, VP of Averro Buzz. “Averro Buzz is proud of help give these emerging writers a chance to be a part of an event that could establish the foundation, relationships and inspiration to take their work to the next level.”

Candidate requirements include having an outlet that maintains an active status and has been in existence for at least one year, demonstrate a clear financial need, and is a citizen blogger or content creator with no paid wine writing experience.

The Wine Bloggers Conference Scholarship was founded in 2009 to provide well established “citizen bloggers” with a stipend so they can attend the wine bloggers conference, further their knowledge, their network, the wine blogging community and the wine industry. The recipients are bloggers who are not affiliated with a winery or other company in the wine industry with a demonstrated financial need. Specific attention is paid to bloggers who post regularly, have never attended the conference before and who are students with a particular focus in wine.

The 10th annual North American Wine Bloggers Conference is scheduled from Nov 10-12, 2017 in Sonoma, and brings together hundreds of wine bloggers, social media educators and leaders, and wine industry members.

The Wine Bloggers Conference Scholarship is partnered with Enobytes, an organization dedicated to sharing passion and knowledge of wine and food. This non-profit organization serves a global audience of wine lovers, and takes innovation to the next level with interactive maps, in depth wine reviews, and wine business analysis.

“It is exciting to have Avero Buzz serve as a scholarship sponsor, said Thea Dwelle, chairperson and founder of the WBC Scholarship Committee. The analysis and reflection that social listening requires ties so well into important trends the blogger community should be following,”
