Former VP at Winebow Group Leads Tailored Program for Professionals Seeking Entry to Wine Industry

Rohnert Park, California - The Wine Business Institute (WBI) at Sonoma State University (SSU) today announced that Geralyn Brostrom, former Vice President of Wine Education at The Winebow Group and Managing Director at Vindeavour, a learning design consultancy based in Napa, will lead Foundation: Introduction to Wine Business, taking place online between May 4 - June 1. This is the first of three course levels that make up the Certificate in Wine Business Management, including foundation, intermediate, and advanced, with training in wine commerce and trade, marketing and sales, finance and accounting, e-commerce, viticulture and winemaking, and regulatory issues. wbi_logo_sbe_blue_grey_stacked.png

"The Wine Business Management certificate is our most comprehensive professional development offering in wine business. With Gerilyn at the helm, for the first time we’re able to tailor delivery of the program to professionals seeking entry to the wine industry, while providing the same important learning outcomes as before," Ray Johnson, Director of the Wine Business Institute said.

Cost of the four-week foundation course is $590 for participants who register by April 27. Participants who complete all three online course levels and a cumulative exam will earn the Certificate in Wine Business Management. The two-year industry requirement is waived for those seeking admission to the MBA in Wine Business program.

Geralyn Brostrom is also co-founder and Education Director at Italian Wine Central, an industry trade education project, and a faculty member at the Viticulture and Enology Science and Technology Alliance (VESTA).
