The addition of an electric vehicle charging station builds on Spottswoode’s reputation as one of the most environmentally conscious wineries in California.
“This year marks the 30th anniversary of our decision to farm our historic Spottswoode Estate 100% organically,” says President and CEO Beth Novak Milliken. “Whether it’s through our solar program, our adoption of organic and biodynamic farming practices, or our environmentally focused philanthropic efforts, this is a legacy we are constantly striving to build on. Adding a Tesla station is our way of supporting others who are taking an active role in caring for the environment.”
As an additional part of its commitment to stewardship and social responsibility, Spottswoode has been a proud member of 1% for the Planet since 2009. About Spottswoode Estate Vineyard & Winery
After a decade of growing winegrapes at her historic Napa Valley vineyard, Mary Novak made her first vintage of Spottswoode Estate Cabernet Sauvignon in 1982. In the years since, Spottswoode has become one of Napa Valley’s defining wineries. Stewarded by Mary and her daughters, Beth and Lindy, Spottswoode has stayed true to an elegant, balanced and age-worthy style that captures the character of each vintage and the complexity of the Spottswoode Estate Vineyard. Originally planted in 1882, the Spottswoode Estate Vineyard has been farmed organically since 1985, and has earned acclaim as one of the finest sites for Cabernet Sauvignon in the world.
