Sonoma State Offers Two New Social Media Seminars in the Napa Valley
Rohnert Park, CA In response to numerous requests for curriculum that focuses on social media and mobile marketing Sonoma State’s Wine Business Institute has developed two new wine industry seminars to be taught by Andrew Healy, founder of 3 Rock Marketing. Both seminars will be held at the Napa Valley Vintners in St. Helena on March 27th and 28th.
A strong and well developed internet and social media presence is a crucial component of the competitive edge businesses in the wine industry defend daily. As more and more of the world’s web traffic is viewed on mobile devices, both phone and tablet, you risk missing sales and conversion opportunities if you don’t have a “mobile-friendly” website. The “Converting Your Website to a Mobile Friendly Site” seminar will focus on how brands in the wine industry can convert already existing internet content to function more effectively through this channel. The seminar takes a closer look at real life examples of traffic figures for desktop versus mobile websites, how to use analytics to decide on mobile websites navigation and content and more. Andrew Healy adds, “With mobile internet use set to continue its rapid growth this class will explore the background and opportunities with mobile websites and highlight specific cases to demonstrate best practices.”
The “Creating Social Media Content” seminar examines the challenges of effectively “curating content” and making sure that content is brand focused. During this seminar Andrew will speak to topics such as the “Social Circle”--and why all social media efforts should be focused on getting people to your website, planning your content and using a “content calendar”, monitoring the online world to more effectively interact with those talking about your brand, creating re-usable content with blogging and video and more.
Both seminars were created as a way for those in the wine industry to gain a more complete understanding of both the benefits of having a well-designed and manicured internet and social media presence as well as how to go about doing this without dedicating all your staff to the project.
