TODAY'S FEATURED WINE

Lew said:  The 2011 vintage of this was a terrific big bold Malbec with lots of cocoa and raspberries.

This by contrast is fruit-impoverished, thin and acidic.

I was hoping this would be a brand that would be consistently good. I was obviously wrong. $11.99 at Safeway.

This is probably right for somebody else's taste but not for mine.

 REVIEW POLICY:

For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
