Lewis Perdue's Rating of Amapola Creek: Cabernet Sauvignon: : Estate Bottled: 2009: United States
One of the most remarkable wines I have ever tasted.
Deep intense blackberries, chocolate and cedar balanced with the oak and tannins as only a master winemaker can craft.
Über-Vintner Richard Arrowood continues at the top of his game!
Enjoyed with great company at Kenwood restaurant right before surgery when I knew I would not have wine for some time thanks to all the medication. This and lunch with some great guys was a terrific send-off.
$70 retail and worth every sip!
For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
