TODAY'S FEATURED WINE
Ancient Peaks Winery: Petite Sirah: Paso Robles-California: : 2011: United States
Pull the cork on this Ancient Peaks Petite Sirah and out comes a deep inky powerful fist full of dark chocolate, raspberries, and allspice.
Then it opens up like a velvet glove of structured tannins, oak and fruit. This is a big wine with manners and enough attitude to command my attention. $35 suggested retail.
For winery tasting samples, gifts from friends or family or samplings at a party or event, review it truthfully, but only if I like it. If I have paid my own very-hard-earned money on a bottle, the gloves are off and it gets what it deserves ... whether perfect or puerile.
