As always, SavvyTaste.Com has my full description and opinion of this wine: Lewis Perdue's Rating of ADS WinesScotto Cellars: Zinfandel: Lodi-California: : 2009: United States
Sharp, raspy acidic with mostly AWOL fruit and a halogen aftertaste like bromine or chlorine. I left the bottle (minus a half glass pour) corked on the kitchen island overnight.
Result today: there was some soft, very nice, intense fruit but NO acid or structure at all.
Maybe this finally opened up in the middle of the night. Not much help.
This is the first Lodi Zin I have ever had to pour down the drain.
I bought two bottles so will try the next one one of these days to see if that dismal performance turns out different any different.
I tried a Scotto red blend last week (Rare Red) and found it a nice value for the money. Not so, this one.
