TODAY'S FEATURED WINE

As always, SavvyTaste.Com has my full description and opinion of this wine: Lewis Perdue's Rating of Rabbit Ridge Vineyards: Rhone Blend/Red Wine: Paso Robles California: Allure de Robles: 2012: United States

My 2012 Allure de Robles shipment arrived today. Even before it begins its limited run at TJ's.

This is (I am told) the first case out of the winery and signed by the winemaker, Erich Russell.

Will open the first bottle tonight and pair with a lamb burger tonight. The rest goes into the cellar to be consumed until the 2013 comes.

At $70/case including shipping, this is a dream for a Rhone lover on a tight budget. Smooth as the 2011, same raspberry/black cherry fruit, soft tannins. Crisper.

A nice consistent successor to 2012.
