TODAY'S FEATURED WINE
As always, SavvyTaste.Com has my full description and opinion of this wine: Lewis Perdue's Rating of Perdue Kitchen Blend: Red Blend: Multiple: Bad Plus Bad Equals Okay: 2010: Various
Take one bottle of European Tempranillo with a backbone and no finesse or fruit.
Take half a bottle of a pretty good California Zinfandel that's sat on the counter long enough to go flat. Tinker with the blend. Taste.
Top up the ullage with more Tempranillo.
Rinse and repeat. For three days.
Suddenly it's Saturday and the blend is pretty good. Bad + Bad = Good. Drink with homemade pizza topped with feta and prosciutto atop a pesto rosso base.
Sip the remainder on Sunday. Pour that down the drain. Be thankful the blend worked. It doesn't sometimes.
